The duo Otxo is a playful space where two musical personalities merge — at once very similar and very different. Maider and Lolita are both deeply in love with traditional and folk music.
Singers, accordionists, percussionists, and wind instrumentalists, their music has many facets: it is a blend of their original traditions (Basque music, Occitan music), the music of their respective adopted lands (Quebecois music, Galician music, Brazilian music), as well as original compositions where their love for melody and harmony comes together.
Otxo is a duo full of sensitivity, humor, energy, and rich sonic and cultural diversity.
