Tradicional music of Canarian Islands
Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born in Fuerteventura, Julia Rodríguez grew up in a family connected to Canarian folklore and began her musical path playing the timple. From a very young age, she was part of the historic Agrupación Folclórica de Tetir, maintaining a strong connection to island tradition.
At the same time, she expanded her training in jazz, classical music, composition and arranging, building a language that integrates roots and modernity.
Her debut album Hacia la vida was recognized as Best Roots Music Album at the 2025 Canary Islands Music Awards, where she also received the award for Best New Artist, consolidating her artistic projection.
