Dancing the root
Dancer and creator from Valladolid, trained in Spanish Dance and Flamenco, Kike Arias directs his career toward the contemporary reinterpretation of folklore. His academic training is complemented by studies in traditional singing and percussion, broadening his understanding of dance as a musical and cultural phenomenon.
He has worked with national companies and productions, developing a stage presence that combines technique, roots and experimentation.
As a choreographer, he has received various recognitions in Spanish dance and flamenco competitions, presenting his works in festivals and contemporary creation spaces. His work investigates the dialogue between tradition, identity and the contemporary stage.
