Luthier, composer, and musical director; he crafted all the Jarocho instruments played by the group. He is one of the most renowned performers of the guitarra de son within the genre and, using traditional playing techniques as a foundation, has developed a distinctive style characterized by syncopated rhythmic ostinatos. He won the 2023 Grammy for Best Latin Jazz Album for his collaboration on “Fandango At The Wall In New York”.
