A journey to the essence of traditional music in search of a common language between different musical traditions.
What does it mean to experiment? It means trying, rehearsing, attempting, searching, playing, getting lost, finding oneself, daring. It means bringing experience into the body, being surprised, exploring new sensations… All these actions will be essential to creating in this new Encuentro.
Our primary material will be traditional music: to keep it alive, we recreate it, reinterpret it, and invent new forms of it.
Far from seeking answers, we will ask ourselves questions that will lead to even more questions. Can we learn from them without expecting a definite answer? What role do curiosity and intuition play in all of this? And communication? And emotions? And our beliefs and limits?
This Encuentro proposes a new way of learning: it encourages each participant to use their listening as a guide to explore themselves musically and physically. The facilitators (both in music and dance) will propose dynamics to develop creativity and inner listening. We call it experimental because you won’t find a teacher telling you what they think you need; instead, learning will happen through the shared experience of collective exploration.

At this closing party of L’Encuentro, we propose a night to celebrate an invented tradition. A tradition that has always existed in a collective, imaginary space — a place that belongs to everyone and no one. Music and dance are the vehicles for a shared expression of life's celebration. Where one exists because the other does. A joint creation by all the participants of L’Encuentro 2025, allowing the attending audience to become co-creators of this night of traditional fantasy. With this ticket, you are reserving your dinner for the concert night, or your entry without dinner.
