DO I HAVE TO BE A MUSICIAN TO REGISTER FOR THE COURSE?

In the voice and dance workshops, it is not necessary to have previous knowledge. For the other workshops, you do not have to be a professional musician, but we do ask for a minimum knowledge of the instrument you bring. Except for percussion, where there are separate workshops according to levels, the rest of the workshops are one group only and for this reason, we ask for basic musical notions.

CAN I CHANGE WORKSHOP OR DO MORE THAN ONE?

It is not possible to change workshops during the week. If for some reason, once you have arrived, you feel you need to change, it will be exceptionally possible only if the other workshop is not full, after verification with the organization. But be careful not to register to a workshop thinking you will be able to change once arrived, we cannot assure in any way that this will be possible. Also, you will be in the same workshop the whole week. We do not offer the option of doing a multi-course by attending various workshops. But do not worry! There are moments of shared classes and every afternoon we will get together and share and play as we please!

DO I HAVE TO BRING MY INSTRUMENTS?

Yes. You have to bring the instrument you need to be able to do the workshop you are signing up for. If you do not have the necessary material, don’t hesitate to contact us for instrument rental options.

To take into consideration : In the Iberian percussion workshops: It is mandatory to bring a “Pandero cuadrado” and “Pandereta”. If you don’t have them, there will be a rental option.

…ABOUT REGISTRATION…

HOW DO I SIGN UP?

Follow the link in the “registration” section where you will find everything you need to register.
Registration will open on April 6th at 10am.
The registration forms will be available after the registration opening time. Don’t wait long, many workshops fill up very quickly!
Fill in the form for the workshop of your choice and hit “send”. After registering, you will have to make a first payment of 320 euros by bank transfer within 15 days. The rest of the payment will be made within 30 days of the first payment. If you do not make the payments in the specified time lapse, your registration will be cancelled. You will receive all the information for the payment (bank number, etc) by e-mail once the form is sent (check your Spam!!).
VERY IMPORTANT, after the bank transfer, please send us a payment receipt by e-mail in order for the payment to be registered correctly.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I REGISTERED BUT CAN’T GO AFTER ALL?

If you have to cancel your registration, this is the cancellation policy:
A) Up to one month before the workshop, 50% of the amount will be refunded
B) Less than a month before the event, there will be no refund
C) In the exceptional case that you cancel less than a month before the event but someone (from the waiting list or that you have found) will take your place, you will receive a 90% refund.

IS THERE A MINIMUM REQUIRES AGE TO REGISTER?

Yes, this is an adult-oriented course designed for adults 18 years and older. If you are under the age of 18 and are very interested by the workshop, contact us directly by e-mail or phone to explain your situation. No registration of children under the age of 16 will be accepted.

…ABOUT THE ACCOMMODATION AND MEALS…

ARE THERE DIFFERENT ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS?

Yes, there are different prices and accommodation options:
in the hostel (bunk beds in shared dormitories)
in your personal van on site (limited option)
in your personal tent on site (limited option)
without accommodation and only meals
You can choose your accommodation option in the registration form.
If you wish to have a private room, there will be an extra fee. There are very few places in the private rooms, so if you are interested, send an email to contacto@encuentroderaiz.com as soon as possible.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE MY VAN OR MOTORHOME TO SLEEP?

You can come with your van or motorhome simply choosing the option in the registration form. The reduced price includes the use of the facilities (showers, WC, etc) and all meals, which are included mandatorily for all.

CAN YOU CAMP?

Yes, you can come with your tent, choosing this option in the registration form. The reduced price includes the use of the facilities (showers, WC, etc) and all meals, which are included mandatorily for all.

IS THERE AN OPTION WITHOUT ACCOMMODATION?

Yes. This means that you neither sleep nor shower in the facilities that are offered, but you will have all meals included.

IS THERE AN OPTION FOR REGISTRATION WITHOUT MEALS?

No. Meals are included in the price and are understood as part of the course.

ARE THERE MENU OPTIONS?

Yes. We offer two options: omnivore or vegetarian. We are very sorry but we cannot offer a vegan option. If this is a problem for you, contact the organization and we will find solutions!
The organization and the new cooking team make a great effort to adapt to the different menus and needs. Therefore, you will have to respect the menu option you choose for all meals during the week. Thanks for understanding!

I HAVE A FOOD ALLERGIES OR INTOLERANCES, ARE THERE SPECIAL MENUS?

Yes. Allergies and food intolerances are taken into consideration. You can communicate it in the registration form. The Gluten-free option, or Gluten-free and Lactose-free, comes with a small supplement charge of 2 euros per day.

CAN MY FRIENDS OR FAMILY COME AND VISIT ME?

During the Encuentro, visitors can only be received on the day of the concert open to the public, which is the last day, on August 27th. There is an option to have dinner that day too! Contact the organization for more information.

CAN I COME WITH MY CHILDREN?

The course is not open to visitors or children except for the final celebration. There is no daycare service during the week. If the only way you can assist is by coming with your little ones, please contact us and we will study each case specifically.
